Ceremonies from the Heart
Funerals / Memorials

Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy. Often emotions are very intense for all involved, planning time is brief, and it’s difficult to find words to express our feelings. Balancing the concerns and needs of the immediate and extended family can feel like a daunting task.
I am here to help you plan, create and officiate a remembrance that speaks to the hearts of all.
As an ordained interfaith and non-denominational minister, I am able to span all religions and spiritual beliefs. I work with you, your family and any friends you choose to include, to co-create and deliver a personalized funeral, memorial, celebration of life, and/or graveside service that reflects your loved one’s unique life, relationships and contributions.
What You Can Expect
If you decide to have me officiate at your loved one’s funeral, memorial and/or life celebration, you can be assured that I will work with you and your family and friends with genuine warmth, compassion, and openness to your personal process.
We begin by setting up an initial meeting which with immediate family and/or friends. This meeting allows us to get to know each other, and helps me to know the loved one who has passed. It also provides a warm and compassionate space for you to continue your process of grieving as we share stories, music, pictures and experiences that reflect your loved one’s life and your relationship to him/her.
During this time together, we will also discuss your thoughts and ideas about how you envision the service, the elements you would like included and also how you, family and friends may wish to participate.
From this meeting I will craft a beautiful and smooth-flowing life tribute for your loved one. We will then meet again, to review the ceremony and make any adjustments or changes needed. I will then work with the chapel, funeral home and/or venue coordinator to ensure that all logistics for the service will run smoothly.
On the day of the service, I will arrive 1 hour before the start time to review any last minute details.
The Next Day and Beyond....
The grieving process is different for everyone, and while many of us might be aware of the “stages” of grief…both written about and shared universally…your process is unique.
I am available to help and support you and your family as you move beyond the day of the funeral or memorial, and back into life.
It would be my honor and privilege to serve you. You may call me at my office or my home.
